The contract calls for 11 Fujitec Millennium Geared Traction Passenger Elevators, two Fujitec Millennium Geared Traction Freight Elevators, three Fujitec Hydraulic Passenger Elevators, and five semi-heavy duty escalators. The first shipment of elevator and escalator systems and components is scheduled for April, 2002, with an anticipated job completion date of March, 2003, just prior to Opening Day for the inaugural season of the Great American Ballpark.
Nearly all of Fujitec's elevators and transit escalators sold within the United States and Canada are manufactured within Fujitec America's state-of-the-art production facility, located in Lebanon, Ohio, just a 40 minute drive north of Cincinnati. This production facility, which includes a 210 foot elevator and escalator research tower, employs over 300 people with work in manufacturing, engineering, sales, and administration.
In 2000 Fujitec America, Inc., manufactured and installed 12 Millennium Series Geared Traction Elevators for Paul Brown Stadium, the new home of the Cincinnati Bengals professional football team.
The General Contractor for the Great American Ballpark is Hunt Construction Group/d.e. Foxx and Associates of Indianapolis, IN. The Hamilton County Board of Commissioners is the owner with stadium management provided by the Cincinnati Reds.
