New York & Houston Give LA Helping Hand - 4/14/2005

Recently, Fujitec LA acquired a full maintenance contract for the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. “This is a culmination of efforts put forth, both in Sales and maintenance performance, of the New York and Houston Branch operations for existing Cohen Bros Realty accounts", said Tim Mooney, district manager for LA/SF branch operations. "It is exciting to realize that our sister Fujitec branches can contribute to our success by providing first class elevator maintenance outside of our own immediate market", he said.

The account includes 40 Westinghouse modular "B" escalators, 12 Westinghouse ERL type geared elevators and one Schindler hydraulic elevator.

“This is a huge success story for Los Angeles,” said Rick Lockridge, director of service sales. “They have been working this account with New York’s assistance for approximately one year.”

The Pacific Design Center is the West Coast’s largest resource for fine traditional and contemporary furniture, fabrics, floor coverings, architectural products, wall coverings, lighting, kitchen and bath products and accessories. The center covers 1.2 million square feet on a beautifully landscaped 14-acre site.

The center, which opened in 1975, was designed by famous architect Cesar Pelli and was acquired by Cohen Brothers Reality in 1999.
