Additional Aspects of New Strategic Plan Announced - 4/27/2006

Cincinnati, OH – Fujitec America announced today the release of a new controller system and the establishment of two procurement facilities in Los Angeles and New York.

MILLENNIUM-3™ Controller
Recognized as the most advanced in the industry, Fujitec’s Millennium elevator control system has been a very successful and reliable product for many years. “We’ve always been focused on making incremental improvements to stay in the leadership position for elevator control systems,” said Joe Rennekamp, vice president of engineering, “but significant development projects over the last year have come together in the release of a new cohesive system— MILLENNIUM-3™.”

The new Fujitec MILLENNIUM-3™, a multi-tiered microprocessor based controller, provides the industry with the most superior processing engine that delivers passengers to their destination in the safest, smoothest and fastest way. This universal system was designed to meet all types of applications, including the state-of-the-art high-end performance of an ACGL, an ACGD, DCGL modernization, or even a machine roomless engineered job. “In addition, the Millennium-3TM network of microprocessor boards increases the reliability of the elevator system and provides a remote troubleshooting capability for our technical support staff.”

New Procurement Facilities
Fujitec America has also recently established two parts and procurement facilities, strategically located near New York and Los Angeles. The New York operation is contained in a 70,000 sq. ft. complex located in Wood-Ridge, NJ. “Our ideal location will enable us to provide timely parts support to our branch offices,” said Don Regina, president of Fujitec New York. “The facility has easy access to major highways and Newark’s Liberty International Airport, making parts shipments extremely convenient.”

The second new facility, located in Torrance, south of Los Angeles, will serve as a staging point for all Fujitec machines, components and parts from Fujitec factories over seas. “We are pleased to be a part of the overall expansion of Fujitec America by assuming more company driven responsibilities here in Los Angeles,” said Tim Mooney, western region vice president. “Through this facility, we can better serve all of our branch operations and positively impact delivery schedules.”

Global Activities
Fujitec Japan recently moved into the newly constructed product development center and plant located within the premises of the existing Shiga Plant. Named “Big Wing,” these new facilities will take the Company to the next level of expansion by offering capabilities to develop cutting-edge technologies and by providing an additional production base. “Big Wing” houses a 560 ft. research tower, the tallest of its kind in the world. The construction of these facilities is the realization of a goal to integrate all phases of product development, design and manufacturing into one location.
