WEST HOLYWOOD, CA – June 13, 2008 – Fujitec America, a division of Fujitec Co., Ltd., [NIKKEI 6406], today announced the recapture of the West Hollywood Gateway Project’s Target elevator service and maintenance contract. This contract consists of service and maintenance for seven geared Millennium elevators (four large service cars and three large freight cars).
The West Hollywood Gateway Project is East Los Angeles’ largest redevelopment project totaling 257,000 square feet, including stores such as Target, Best Buy, Starbucks, and more. “This was a big combined effort out of the Fujitec team,” says Tom Quinn, field operations manager. “Target has been very pleased with the support and maintenance coming from Fujitec’s NY operations and the support and reputation regarding Fujitec’s LA service group. This track record helped provide us with a strong advantage.”
Fujitec’s LA branch was also awarded a contract with Target Westminster to service two hydraulic 5,000lb passenger elevators, two hydraulic 8,000lb freight elevators, two escalators and two vermaports. This project will begin June 22, 2008.
