CLIFTON, NEW JERSEY– June 16, 2008 – Fujitec America, Inc., a division of Fujitec Co., Ltd. [NIKKEI 6406] today announced that its Fujitec New York operations recently won three significant new projects equaling $16,720,000 in new construction business. “Sealing these projects was definitely a team effort, including Fujitec corporate and New York operations management as well as Fujitec America’s engineering department,” says Don Regina, executive vice president of the New York operations.

The first project is 135 West 45th Street, a 53-story multi-functioning building (residential/hotel), which includes the installation of six gearless elevators and two hydraulic elevators. The second project is 400 5th Avenue, also a multi-functioning 58-story building (residential/hotel) with 58 stories, which includes eight gearless elevators. The third project is 150 Amsterdam, a 42-story residential building, which includes the installation of three hydraulic elevators, four gearless elevators and two MRLS.

“Our New York construction activity continues to be very robust and, as represented by these projects, Fujitec continues to participate in a very significant way,” said Fujitec Construction sales manager Lewis Livingstone. “These projects will go a long way in leveraging the resources at our new facility.”

Fujitec’s New York operations recently relocated its operations to Clifton, NJ. This new facility provides the resources needed to continue to support Fujitec’s growing customer base in the region. It houses 70 full-time employees and serves as a base for more than 55 elevator service technicians and 140 new construction elevator installers primarily serving customers in Manhattan and surrounding cities.

In addition to these projects, Fujitec continues work on several exciting new construction opportunities including the new Giants/Jets Stadium and installing the Magic Ski Lift for America’s first Snow Dome for indoor skiing as well as 24 elevators at Meadowlands Xanadu.
Fujitec’s New York operation currently maintains/services more than 1,700 elevator/escalator units in the region.
